The National Merit Scholarship Program is an academic competition for recognition and college scholarships that began in 1955. High school students enter the National Merit Program by taking the National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT®), which serves as an initial screen of approximately 1.6 million entrants each year, and by meeting published program entry and participation requirements.
DATE: Tuesday, January 26, 2021 at 7:30 a.m.
LOCATION: Corona del Mar High School. An e-mail will be sent the week of January 18th to let you know where to report.
WHO: All Corona del Mar High School 11th grade students who would like to compete for the National Merit Scholarship and all 10th graders who would like to take the PSAT-10. Space is limited so availability is on a first-come, first-served basis.
COST: All students choosing to take the NMQST/PSAT-10 will be charged $30.00.
REGISTRATION: At the ASB online student store beginning now and ending January, 16th. After registration, you may pick up a practice test in Ms. Gilmore’s office in the high school front office between 3:00 and 4:00 Monday-Friday.
