LANGUAGE PLACEMENT TESTING

INCOMING students (students NEW to CdM) who are trying to place into a level 2 class or higher in Spanish, French, or Mandarin or for current CdM students not currently enrolled in a language, who are looking to begin a course of study above Level 1. World Language Placement Testing will be given on Tuesday, May 26, 2026 at 1:00pm-3:00pm and Tuesday, August 11, 2026 at 10:00am-12:00pm. Students should check-in at the Main HS office and will wait to be taken over to the testing location as a group. Testing will last approximately 30 minutes.  

Please bring a #2 pencil. (NO TEST NECESSARY FOR LEVEL 1 courses.)   To register for the test please email Elisa Ramirez at earamirez@nmusd.us and include the language level (for example, Spanish 3, French 2, etc.)
