Independent Study

Short-term independent study allows a student to continue learning asynchronously under the supervision of their regularly assigned teacher when the student is unable to attend school for a limited period of time due to unique circumstances. Independent study is meant to provide temporary instruction.

The independent Study Education Contract must be submitted and signed prior to the first day of the planned absence. The planned absence must be for the duration of at least one school day. The reason for the request and the signatures of both the student and the Parent/Guardian are required before the application can be processed. The request must be approved by an administrator before the work can be assigned to the student. An Independent Study Contract will not be issued for the first two weeks of the school year.

Click HERE to access the form to request independent study.

After submitting your form you will receive a follow up email from Terry King (tking@nmusd.us) within 2 business days requesting your and your student's signature. Your Independent Studies Contract Request will not be approved without these signatures. Please reach out to Terry if you do not receive an email from her within 2 business days.

Если вам нужна копия формы Independent Studies на русском языке, нажмите  здесь и распечатайте её. Заполненную форму сдайте Терри Кинг в главном офисе школы Corona del Mar High School.
