For students who are in or are interested in the PAMA Academy for Visual Arts, join us for a meeting today at lunch in room 234.

Our annual NMUSD College and Career Night is tonight, October 16, 2019 at the OC Fair and Event Center from 6:30-8:30 pm. In the Costa Mesa Pavilion, there will be more than 150 colleges and universities represented as well as interactive career demonstration exhibits in the career sectors of health and medical, engineering and information technology, and hospitality and tourism.  In the Santa Ana Pavilion, breakout sessions will be in offered in English and Spanish, to include the topics of financial aid, California State University and Community College System Overview. FCA (Fellowship of Christian Athletes) will have their first huddle of the year on the pool deck Thursday at lunch.

The CdM Music Department concert Shades Of Autumn is this Friday, October 18th at 5:00 pm in the Big Gym. Admission is $5, and the show will feature all of our performing groups.

Last month our school received $80 from this program. Please help us boost this number this holiday season by choosing “Corona Del Mar PTSA” as your charity before checking-out. Volunteer to be a CdM Home Tour docent! We have 2 hour shifts on Tuesday, October 22nd (10am-12, 12-2, 2-4) for parents, grandparents, community members, CdM-parents-to-be or parent alumni! You are welcome to sign up for ANY shift at ANY home; volunteers can choose a shift by grade level, location or time of day. We especially need helpers from 2-4pm!

There is a Kings Krew game today - Boys Water Polo takes on Laguna Beach in a huge match in our pool. Come out with your blue Kings Krew shirts on and get scanned for five star points! The game starts at 7:30 pm.

MIDDLE SCHOOL

The Annual CDM Middle School Mother-Daughter Tea and Fashion Show is Sunday, March 29, 2020!  The committee will be selected via a lottery.  If your 7th or 8th grade daughter is interested in walking in the fashion show and you are willing to be on the committee, please email your interest to  Sara Benson,   benson.sara@yahoo.com, no later than Tuesday,  October 22nd by 5 p.m.  Please note, if you are unable to work on a committee, your daughter will not be able to participate. The lottery will be held on Thursday, October 24th at 11AM in the Lecture Hall.  You, or someone on your behalf, must be present to have your daughter’s name selected.   A brief 30-45 minute meeting will take place after the lottery for those selected. Than come to a great presentation on “Reducing Anxiety in College Admissions and Standardized Testing” tonight, Tuesday, October 15th at 6:30 pm in the LRC. Nick Standlea, an expert in college admissions and testing, will give a detailed presentation that you won’t want to miss! Flyer

AP Exam Fee Reminder: Due November 8th - Pay at the ASB window with check, cash or credit card OR pay online at the ASB Webstore.  Regular exams are $97.  AP Seminar or Research is $145.  (District adds a $3 processing fee)

This past weekend in Monterey the sailing team took first place in one of its largest regattas ever. We beat Newport Harbor and other big rival Point Loma and many other schools from all over California. Congratulations Sea King sailors!

Attention 10th to 12th grade students, CSF applications are now available in the counseling office. The deadline to submit to the ASB office is Tuesday, October 29th at 12:00 PM. No late applications will be accepted, no exceptions!
