Outdoor Field Studies

Outdoor Field Studies Club

The Outdoor Field Studies club is a way for students to get outdoors and to experience and learn about science in the natural world. We take 1-3 trips a year to National Parks for camping, hiking, adventuring, and lots of learning. Led by science teachers, these trips are dynamic, multi-disciplinary, and whole-child experiences that investigate the geology, ecology, biology, and astronomy of each unique and awe-inspiring locale. Students from many different backgrounds and experience levels come together as strangers and leave as family. This page highlights some of our past trips and provides information about upcoming trips as well. We meet on Wednesdays at break for updates, to discuss local hikes and volunteer opportunities, and to plan trips. You do not have to be on the weekly leadership board to attend a trip. Please see Mrs. Kroeger for more information!
