Corona del Mar High School Sports Field Project

CEQA Process – Review of Draft Environmental Impact Report


Dear Community Member,


On October 15, 2015, the Newport-Mesa Unified School District Board of Education approved the initial design of the Corona del Mar High School Sports Field. Currently, the District is in the process to evaluate the impacts of the project as required by the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA). The Draft Impact Report (DEIR) has been circulated and comments will be received through March 22, 2017.  


In an effort to continue to inform the neighbors surrounding the school community of the planned project and next steps, we would like to invite you to attend a community information meeting hosted by Newport-Mesa Unified School District staff. We will provide a general overview of the DEIR and allow for questions during the scheduled meeting. Written comments can be sent to: feedback@NMUSD.us prior to the March 22 deadline.


The Community Information Meeting will be held as follows:
