NEW Student Enrollment
Incoming 7th grade students coming from our feeder elementary schools (Anderson, Eastbluff, Harbor View, Lincoln, Newport Coast) do not need to complete Address Verification or this New Student Enrollment process.
We will start enrolling students new to CdMHS from outside the district for the 2016-2017 school year in April. Here are the three enrollment steps:
STEP 1: Verify your Address.
At the Address Verification Office, located at the BESST Center, 2045 Meyer Place, Bldg D, Costa Mesa, CA 92627. Address Verification for the 2016-2017 school year starts Tuesday, April 12, and is open Tuesday – Thursday, 8:00am – 3:00pm. Please refer to the back of this page for the documents that are required at the Address Verification Office.
STEP 2: Complete the online Pre-Enrollment process. (Information given at Address Verification)
Go to https://nmusd.us/secure/pre-enroll/login.aspx. You will need a password from Address Verification to complete this. Print out a hard copy, sign it, and bring to CdMHS for step three.
STEP 3: Contact CdM to make an enrollment appointment:
Corona del Mar is offering five enrollment days for new students, by appointment only. Appointments are offered every 30 minutes from 1:00 – 3:00pm in the high school counseling office (please sign in at the high school office front desk first). Please come to the counseling office 10 minutes prior to your appointment to turn in the appropriate documents (see Step 4). You may call 949-515-6014 or 949-515-6004 to make an appointment. The five enrollment dates are:
- Tuesday, April 26
- Wednesday, May 18
- Wednesday, May 25
- Tuesday, May 31
- Friday, June 3
STEP 4: Enrollment Appointment, bring paperwork to CdM and enroll in classes.
Please come to the counseling office 10 minutes prior to your enrollment appoint to turn in the documents listed below.
Parents/guardians must bring the following required documents:
- Signed print out of the online pre-enrollment
- Gold “ticket,” confirmation page from Address Verification
- Student’s birth certificate or passport
- Grades: an unofficial transcript or most recent report card
- Up-to-date immunizations, signed and stamped by a physician or clinic
- Current IEP or 504 plan, if student has one
**Students who enroll by June 3 have the same priority for classes as current students. This does not guarantee specific classes, just priority for classes.**
New Student Orientations
ATTENTION all 9th - 12th new students to CdM! You are invited to Sea King Camp, which will be held over the summer.

2016 - 2017 Summer Reading
There is no suggested summer reading for incoming 7th and 8th grade students.
Corona del Mar High School Core Novel List Suggested Summer Reading
These novels will be assessed when you return to school. Reading over the summer will better prepare you for the assessment given
*Because of the rigorous nature of AP courses there is more reading, and an expectation that
students finish as much as they can over the summer in order to be prepared for the accelerated
timeline (the test is a month before school lets out). Your assessments may take place within the first
three weeks of school.
Important Middle School Dates and Deadlines
We will be holding an informational evening for 6th grade parents on April 20 at 6:00pm in the Lecture Hall.

What To Wear: White PLAIN T-shirt (no logos or stripes) and navy shorts with hair in a ponytail with bow. Please wear athletic shoes. No jewelry or nail polish allowed.
Results will be posted as close to 8 PM as possible on April 28th.
*No parents/visitors are allowed in the school during clinics.
*Judges decisions are final.
