Background on Mr. Leavey

Growing up in Huntington Beach, I attended Edison High School. While in school I was involved in a number of clubs and organizations in addition to playing football, soccer and baseball. Upon graduation I spent two years at Orange Coast College before moving on to the University of San Diego. After earning a degree in history I spent a winter working and skiing at Snowbird Ski Resort just outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. In the spring up 1991 I began working on my teaching credentials at California, State University, Long Beach. Upon my departure I earned teaching credentials in social studies as well as English. In 2002 I earned my Master's of Arts Degree from California State University, Fullerton. The first three years of my career, 1995-1998, were spent at Downey High. Corona Del Mar High School has been my home since 1998.
I am married with two children, Emily and Kellen, and a dog named Dodger.
